Castorp /berlin workshops guide aspiring filmmakers with diverse backgrounds from free experimentation to realized vision, across different phases of film creation. Our unique approach combines imagination training and process facilitation to help creators develop their authentic voice with confidence and clarity. All workshops are conducted in English.

The 2024 workshops are led by Zoltan Moll, a Berlin-based filmmaker with experience in independent cinema, documentary, and mainstream series.
As an educator, Zoltan established the storytelling program at MOME's renowned MA Animation Directors Department, where students consistently produce award-winning films. Inspired by his own training with NYU and UCLA mentors, he has conducted over 30 workshops in higher education and freelance environments.

After graduating from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest under the guidance of Oscar-winning director István Szabó, Zoltan Moll has written and directed two Hungarian arthouse feature films: 'Hotel Orion' (to premiere in 2025, selected last year for the Les Arcs Film Festival's work-in-progress section) and 'Engedetlen' in 2018. His documentary work includes 'Bateaux Martyrs' and 'Malédiction sur l'empire' for France Télévisions, and script editing for several HBO Europe films, including the festival favorite 'A Woman Captured'. He has also worked as a head writer for a major Hungarian TV channel on two prime time series.
